Award Winning Persie Taster Distillery Tour

For anyone interested in hitting the gin trail, Persie Distillery is a must-see. A small, family-owned stables-turned-distillery at the foot of Glenshee in Highland Perthshire, it is the first dedicated gin distillery to be awarded brown sign status by Visit Scotland and has been publicly recognised as a star-rated destination on the Scottish tourist map.

The award-winning gins are distilled in small batches, then bottled and labelled on site. The first part of the Taster Tour is the important business of sampling! The gin flight includes 6 x 10ml tasters, including the Distillery Originals range and the Charity Dog Gins which were created to raise money for dog rescue – all perfectly matched with mixers to suit your palate.

After sampling, the team will take you on a tour of where the magic happens. You will meet Phil the Still and hear all about how the gin is made and bottled, the botanicals, the process and the brand.

It all happens on the site of the former Persie Hotel on the highest public road in the UK and the start of the SnowRoads adventure through Cairngorms National Park. Just a 40-minute drive from Pitlochry, Perth, Dundee, Braemar or Dunkeld, the distillery is seven miles north of Blairgowrie, at the foot of Glenshee.

The times of the tour varies every day due to our distilling and bottling schedule. Please book your Taster Tour advance by emailing

Persie Distillery is dog friendly. The team welcomes all dogs in the distillery tasting room but sadly not in production areas.

Tour times differ.
