Clootie making Workshops

Clootie McToot” dumplings are lovingly prepared, following my family’s traditional recipe. This recipe has been passed down the generations and is now kept safely with me in my home in Old Abernethy. Abernethy was originally the Southern Pictish capital of Scotland and the village sits on the borders of Perthshire, which is route to the Highlands, and Fife which is on the banks of the beautiful River Tay. There is something nostalgic about a Clootie McToot dumpling. It has a flavour and texture that takes you back in time. Lovingly prepared with carefully selected ingredients, boiled to perfection then vacuum sealed for freshness and long life. These lovely, old-fashioned puddings are bursting with Scottish charm! Our Shop was awarded four stars by Visit Scotland in October 2018. The shop is open Thursday to Sunday 11:00 – 16:30pm. Clootie McToot Dumplings are created from our closely guarded recipes. Using only the finest local ingredients our Clootie Dumplings are made to the highest quality which give a delightful texture that will leave you craving for more. Sold all over the world, our Clootie Dumplings have won a variety of awards.
